Dev Boards Without Borders
The Goal
Thousands, if not millions, of development boards go unused. They’re thrown in bins, stored away, laying on a desk collecting dust – forgotten. In some cases, they are used once, and never again.
It all started when I was cleaning my workshop. I found dozens of dev boards in my gear. I bought many. Multiples for projects. I was send many more to review and test out. When I am done with them, I just store them away. Even if I did want to use some, I’m just one person, I can’t use them all.
At some companies I’ve worked for or visited, I found their R&D departments action-packed with dev boards. They get thrown in boxes. In some cases, just thrown away.
They should be in the hands of those who would really benefit: kids, clubs and charity companies.

Our goal is to gather development boards and accessories. Group together similar boards, like all first generation Raspberry Pi boards, and send the whole group to those who need them. For instance, a grade school classroom. There, the kids could all learn together on their own Raspberry Pi. Even if it’s just to blink and LED, it’s better than doing nothing.
We will focus on schools, grade school to high school. Then to afterschool electronics clubs. Then onward to maker spaces, companies in the charity sphere, and so on.
Those in most need will be first.

What Can You Do?
If you have any development boards of any type, like Arduino or Raspberry Pi boards, and aren’t using them – send them to us. We’ll find good homes for them.

Currently, we are looking for in order of importance:
- Arduino boards
- Raspberry Pi, any version.
- Beaglebone
- Power adapters, USB and cables to power said boards
- Any and all development boards in general
